Angels Camp PD Sobriety and Driver License Checkpoint Tonight

Angels Camp, CA…The Angels Camp Police Department will be conducting a Sobriety/Driver License checkpoint on Saturday, February 13th, 2016 in the 100 block of South Main Street (SR 49) within the city of Angels Camp between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. The checkpoint will focus on removing impaired drivers, as well as unlicensed drivers from the roadways. Educational materials covering the dangers of driving under the influence will also be handed out to motorists. Funding for the sobriety checkpoint is provided through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.

    Should of had one in Murphys with all the drunken winos stumbling around. This is not an acceptable thing when our youngsters are seeing (this happened twice within one hour) adults throwing up because the town of Murphys idea weekend is getting people up to visit, get them drunk so they spend money. Maybe when someone gets in a car accident, gets hurt and/or someone dies, that will open a few eyes.
