Possible Threat to Amador High School Proved Not Credible

Jackson, CA….On Friday March 31, 2023, at approximately 9:40 am, the Sutter Creek Police Department was dispatched to the Amador High School regarding a possible school threat. It was reported that a social media post, from an Argonaut High School student, indicated the student intended violence at the Amador High School campus.

Jackson Police Officers were sent to Argonaut High School to contact the student who allegedly made the post. After a lengthy investigation and working collaboratively with the Sutter Creek Police Department, the Amador County Sheriff’s Department, and Amador County School District Administrative staff, we are able to conclude there are no credible threats of violence to any school, student, or staff. Officers from the Sutter Creek and Jackson Police Departments have been on both high school campuses throughout this investigation and will remain in the area throughout the day.
