Kirkwood, CA…State Route 88 from Martin Meadow to Carson Spur (Amador County) reopened in both directions at 6:00 p.m. today (May 25). State Route 88 from SR-89/Pickett’s Junction to Crystal Springs East (Alpine County) is estimated to reopen at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26.

One-way traffic control will remain in place until the highway is fully reopened at each location. The roadway at both locations was undermined due to heavy snow melt.
