Ione, CA…On June 10, 2023 at approximately 0925 hours, Stockton Communications Center dispatched CHP Amador units to a vehicle vs. tree collision on Dave Brubeck Road south of Marlette Street. Dave Brubeck Road at this location is a two-lane, straight, county road with a slight downhill decline. Preliminary information indicates a male was driving in a 2002 Honda Accord traveling northbound on Dave Brubeck Road at approximately 50 miles per hour and suffered a medical emergency.

Due to the medical emergency the male driver was unable to maintain control of the Honda and veered off the west roadway edge of Dave Brubeck Road and collided into a tree.

After life saving attempts the driver succumbed to his injuries.
