West Point, CA…On Thursday, June 22nd, 2023, during a probation compliance check, Calaveras County Sheriff’s Deputies apprehended a probationer hiding inside a residence. The probationer, Gabriel Gurion, was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant and was discovered to be in possession of a firearm, a violation of his probationary conditions.
Upon entering the residence, deputies discovered Gurion hiding in a bedroom of the house. During a search of the premises, deputies located and confiscated two shotguns, violating his probationary terms. He was taken into custody without further incident.
