Sheriff’s Volunteers Kept Things Safe At The Gun Show

Angels Camp, CA…Under the coordination of Sgt. Bob Fienberg, the Calaveras Sheriff Volunteers Capt. Betty Miner, Lt. Ed Anderson, Sgt. Vic Farina, Sgt. Aurora Weatherby, Louis Chiu, Ed Evans, Jim Garrick, Bruce Greenfield, Sandra Kraft, Barry Macler, Judy McMurtry, Ron Parker, and Joe Tarantino provided patrol duty at the annual Gem Show in the Calaveras County Fairground this past weekend. This annual public event was well attended by many exhibitors, vendors and shoppers. Under beautiful weather, everyone enjoyed this fun filled event.

The Calaveras County Sheriff Volunteer Unit continues to need more volunteers to assist various communities in holding public events in Calaveras County. Serious-minded Calaveras County citizens, retired or semi-retired, wishing to help their community and meeting the qualifications and requirements are encouraged to apply by calling the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 754-2889, or visit sheriff@calaveras.ca.us.
