Orlando, FL…Shortly before closing time at Pulse gay club law enforcement has released that Omar Mateen, a Florida resident and US Citizen took hostages and has killed at least 20 people and injured 42. He was armed with multiple weapons and some attendees have reported he was wearing what appeared to be a suicide vest.

The FBI has stated that they are investigating this incident as an act of terrorism. After he had taken hostages police engaged and killed the suspected terrorist and rescued around 30 hostages.

The gunman is believed to be the son of Afghan parents and has been described as having been known to have terrorist leanings.
