Sonora, CA…The TCEDA/CSEDD has been working on a number of federal grants to aid in the recovery and the redevelopment of the regional economy. So today we are announcing three awards we have just recently been awarded.

1) We submitted a $50,000 USDA grant for small business development in Tuolumne and Calaveras County. In the past few weeks we have received a notice or award. This funding is dedicated to the Alliance Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and its partners.

2) We have just received notice at we have been awarded a $250,000 grant for Butte Fire Recover Grant that will establish a business resource center in San Andreas and will launch the rebuilding of the Calaveras County economy (and our regional economy). Our partners in this project are the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce and the California Association of Local Economic Development.

3) We have also just received notice at we have been awarded a $250,000 grant for our AgPlus group – http://cvagplus.org/ (CSEDD is one of the four founding organizations) has received $250,000 (We were one of the four writers of the grant).

That is $550,000 in federals grants!
