San Andreas, CA…This is updated information in regards to the body that was found at the Creekside Apartments in San Andreas on 9-21-16. Authorities believe the body to be that of 54 year old Stephanie McGeough (last name pronounced ‘mic-gow’). She was a tenant at the apartment complex. The Sheriff’s Office is awaiting positive confirmation of identity from the Department of Justice. An autopsy was performed and the pathology report is still pending.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a subject that is wanted for questioning in the suspicious death of Stephanie McGeough. 53 year old, Sean McGeough (pictured below) is the brother of the victim and last to be seen with her. Authorities received information that Sean McGeough may have been seen in the Sparks / Reno, Nevada areas. McGeough has grey hair with dark eyebrows, 6’2”,230-250 pounds. Sean McGeough had previously been living amongst the transient/homeless community in San Diego, California.

Sean McGeough is wanted for questioning at this time.
