Long Time Friend Of Calaveras County Fair Announces Retirement

Angels Camp, CA…Jeff Johnson has been part of Friends of the Calaveras County Fair since its inception in 2009. He served both as the board’s president, vice president and Junior Livestock Committee representative. He was instrumental in bringing back the historic Whiskerino Dinner Dance, construction of the Ranch house, water line projects and much more. Jeff has a deep love for the Fair. His passion has been evident in his accomplishments on behalf of the Fairgrounds.

Jeff announced that he is retiring from the Friends of the Fair board to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family. When asked to describe Johnson, fair board president, Bob Trinchero said “He is passionate about the fair and an extremely hard worker”. “Jeff has been just a phone call away; always willing to assist. He will be missed” said Laurie Giannini, Fair CEO.
