Sonora, CA…Sonora Regional Medical Center’s 6th Annual Festival of Lights, a benefit for Hospice of the Sierra, will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in front of the hospital, at the entrance to the Professional Center and Community Pharmacy at 900 Greenley Road.

The Festival of Lights serves as a way for friends and families to honor and remember loved ones. Lights, tree decorations and decorated trees to be displayed on the Medical Center grounds can be purchased in honor or in memory of loved ones in peoples’ lives. All honorees will be recognized in the event program and on the honor roll displayed at the hospital in December.

During the event there will be devotions, music and a dancer. Spiced apple cider and fresh baked cookies will be served. As in past years, the northeast corner of the Medical Center at Greenley and Delnero Streets will be decorated with holiday lights and decorations.

Funds raised from the event will assist patients and families needing hospice care who cannot afford it. If you are interested in donating, please contact the Foundation at 536-5022.
