Angels Camp, CA…Calaveras Community Foundation (CCF) will, again, focus on initiatives for 2017’s grant giving. The four initiatives are: Aging in Place for Seniors, Support for Learning of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), and new for 2017, County Youth and Community Enrichment Initiatives. Funding for these grants is from the Foundation’s General Grant Fund.
A detailed explanation of these initiatives may be viewed on CCF’s website: http://www.calaverascommunityfoundation.org.
Applications will begin to be accepted on January 15, 2017 and must be submitted to CCF via email by 5:00 PM on Monday, February 15, 2017. ALL applications for competitive grants MUST address one of the initiatives to be considered for funding. Complete details, application guidelines and fillable forms are available on the CCF website: www.calaverascommunityfoundation.org in the “Grants and Scholarships” area.
Grants awarded in 2016 were varied and the decisions were difficult. Nearly $68,000 was awarded during CCF’s grant cycle. To see the specifics about what projects were funded, go to CCF’s website – under “Grants and Scholarships” – drop down “Competitive Grants Given.”
Individual donations and corporate partners’ generosity allows CCF to continue to fund viable projects that benefit our county residents, students and seniors. Since it’s inception in 2000, CCF has provided more than $1,400,000 in competitive grants, scholarships and assistance.
