Hit-&-Run In Jamestown

Jamestown, CA…On February 27, 2017 at approximately 7:15 pm, CHP dispatch received a call of a subject that was seen staggering before getting into a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup and appeared under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The reporting witness advised that the subject, later identified as 60 year old Jamestown resident Timothy Brown, kept yelling at the witness, “I will shoot you.” It was unknown if Brown was armed because no weapon was seen. The pickup traveled southbound on Main Street from Willow Street and hit a parked black Chevrolet Envoy. Brown continued southbound until his pickup became disabled near Main Street and Donovan Street. Brown was then seen fleeing on foot and crossing State Route 108.

Arriving officers were directed to the creek across from the Kwik Serv gas station. Brown had fallen and was not moving. Officers Susan Addleman and Alan Dahl located him on his side semi-conscious, bleeding from the head. An ambulance was requested and Brown was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, driving with a suspended license and misdemeanor hit-and-run. No gun was located. Brown did have a Concealed Carry Weapons permit in possession and was wearing an ankle monitor. Brown was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center to be treated for head trauma. After being medically cleared, Brown was booked into Tuolumne County Jail.
