San Andreas, CA… Mr. Kerstan was walking southbound on the sidewalk of SR -49 and California Street, when he stepped off the sidewalk and into the crosswalk. Mr. Kerstan noticed the approaching vehicle was slowing so he began to cross the street. While Mr. Kerstan was in the crosswalk, the vehicle struck MR. Kerstan and then fled southbound on SR- 49.

The vehicle was described as a black or gray colored sedan. Witnesses were unable to obtain a license plate.
