Arnold, CA….A fire that broke out in the kitchen caused significant damage to a home on Cedar Lane. There was fire damage and extensive smoke damage. The fire will render the home uninhabitable and the residents will be displaced. A firefighter was also injured fighting the blaze and had to be transported by ambulance from the scene. EPFD Chief Mike Johnson said the firefighter went down in a narrow stairway and sustained leg injuries. The firefighter was in good spirits before he was transported.

Chief Johnson also stated appreciation for the Altaville Melones Fire Department and Murphys Fire Department for rendering mutual aid for this incident.
