High Speed Chase Leads To Arrest Of Felon On Weapon & License Charges

Jamestown, CA…On March 9, 2017 at approximately 4:21 pm, CHP Officer Mahaney attempted to make a stop on a black 2013 Ford F-150 on Lime Kiln Road for defective windshield and not displaying a front license plate. The driver, later identified as 24 year old Sonora resident Kenneth Edward Job, accelerated rapidly from CHP Officer Mahaney in an attempt to flee from capture. Job led Officer Mahaney and additional responding units on a pursuit that lasted approximately 15 minutes and covered approximately 10 miles at speeds varying from 25 miles per hour to in excess of 75 miles per hour.

The pursuit ended on Powell Ranch Road at Mayor Way. Job taken into custody and a search of the vehicle was conducted. A loaded revolver and ammunition was located. During the investigation, it was determined that Job’s driver license was expired and he was a felon in possession of ammunition and a loaded firearm. Job was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail without further incident.
