Sonora, CA…The Columbia College Financial Aid Office invites the community to a free workshop to learn about Financial Aid for college on Saturday, April 8 between 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Starbucks conference room located in the Sonora Junction shopping center at 13761 Mono Way, Sonora. The workshop is open to all and no appointment is necessary.
Financial Aid professionals will be available to answer questions and provide one-on-one assistance to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Undocumented students will receive assistance completing the Dream Act Application.
To complete the applications, current and prospective students will need to bring the following materials: Social Security Card or Alien registration number, if you have one; 2015 federal income tax forms or any 2015 income data collected for student and parents/guardians, such as W2 forms or year-end pay stubs, if you have not yet filed a 2015 tax return; Records of untaxed income, if applicable; List of colleges you are interested in attending.
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need to provide most of the above information from your parents.
