Tuolumne, CA…On May 1, 2017 at approximately 8:05 pm, 47 year old Tuolumne resident, Kelley Deann Herzer, was unsafely backing a 2001 Dodge Durango in the private driveway of 19544 Cherokee Road, while under the influence of alcohol. Due to her high level of alcohol intoxication, Herzer failed to observe 23 year old Tuolumne resident, Tahsa Betti, standing in the direct path of the Dodge Durango. Herzer’s vehicle struck Betti causing major injuries. Betti was subsequently airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.

Herzer was arrested for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol causing injuries. Herzer was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail with a $10,000 bail.
