Murphys, CA…When different generations of country music come together, something magical happens. That’s exactly what happened when Kacey Musgraves teamed up with legendary Willie Nelson for the track “Are You Sure.” The video is set in a small town bar with a moving disco ball that features Kacey and Willie lonely at the bar drinking. Shortly after, they join the band performing on stage for an epic duet. The song proves that although Kacey sings modern tunes about issues today like ‘Follow Your Arrow,’ and ‘Mind Your Own Biscuits,’ she comes from an old country soul.

Kacey previously told Radio.com the collaboration came about while she was on Nelson’s tour bus and asked him why he doesn’t play the song live anymore.

“He couldn’t believe I knew it,” she said about the song from the 1960s. “I just really loved it. It’s very honest and very country, [and] it’s a neat perspective. He seemingly pulled a guitar out of a cloud of smoke and started strumming. I was, of course, dying inside a little bit.”
