Outlook

Planned Actions Crews will continue to monitor fire movement while working through the upcoming days to complete road preparations for small scale firing operations, which will be utilized to limit fire spread as fire behavior increases. Fire behavior is moderate, with some short-range spotting and backing.
Projected Incident Activity Overnight spread is expected to be minimal. A high pressure system with lower humidity and higher temperatures will create poor overnight recoveries.

Current Weather

Weather Concerns A period of hot and dry weather will persist over the fire area for the next several days, with a 10% chance of thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday. Fire activity is expected to increase as anticipated with the high pressure system and will lead to lower humidities and increasing temperatures with poor smoke dispersal.
