Golf Cart Tow Turns Fatal and Takes Life of Angels Camp Man

Angels Camp, CA…This morning, San Andreas CHP officers were dispatched to a fatal traffic collision between a golf cart being towed and a Ford pickup. The driver of the golf cart, Cody Agasi Horn, was killed instantly when the golf cart crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by the Ford. The driver of the vehicle that was towing the golf cart fled the scene. Anyone with information concerning this collision is encouraged to contact San Andreas CHP at (209) 754-3541.

Agasi Horn was driving a Yamaha Golf cart, being towed by an unknown vehicle, eastbound on SR-4 approaching Red Hill Road. A 59 year old Murphys man was driving his Ford westbound on SR-4 just west of Red Hill Road, approaching the golf cart’s location. For a yet to be determined reason, Mr. Horn allowed the Yamaha to travel to the left, crossing over the double solid yellow lines, and into the westbound traffic lane of SR-4, directly in the path of the F550 Ford truck. The Ford impacted the Yamaha. Mr. Horn was ejected from Vehicle #1, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The unknown driver, that was towing Vehicle #1, then fled the scene of the collision.

The San Andreas Area CHP Office is requesting that anyone with information regarding this collision or observed a vehicle towing a golf cart in the area of SR-4 or Six Mile Rd contact Officer Butzler or Officer Fernandez at (209) 754-3541.
