Construction Near State Route 49 (SR-49) from Chicken Ranch Road to SR-108

TUOLUMNE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing various road construction activities on State Route 49 (SR-49) from Chicken Ranch Road to SR-108. Work will occur as follows: Full connector-ramp closure from SR-49 to the SR-49/SR-108 bypass (that leads to downtown Sonora) beginning Sunday, October 8, 2017, until Friday, October 13, 2017, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for paving.

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-49 from Chicken Ranch Road to SR-108 beginning Sunday, October 8, 2017, until Friday, October 13, 2017, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for paving.

One-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound SR-49 from Chicken Ranch Road to SR-108 on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sweeping.

Motorists should expect 15 minute delays. Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
