Major Injuries to Twain Harte Man in Hwy 108 Collision

Twain Harte, CA…On October 16, 2017, at approximately 1545 hours, P1 was traveling eastbound on State Route 108, east of Argyle Road at approximately 55 miles per hour. For an unknown reason, P1 allowed V1 to travel off the south roadway edge of State Route 108. As a result, the front of V1 collided into a tree. After the collision with the tree, V1 continued in a south easterly direction until it collided into a large boulder. After the collision with the boulder, V1 continued in a south easterly direction when it collided into a second tree. After the collision with the second tree, V1 rotated in a counter clockwise direction until it came to rest against a third tree.

After the impacts, P1 was assisted out of V1 by emergency personnel. V1 sustained major damage (front bumper, hood, grille, both front fenders, roof, windshield, right rear bed and both passenger and driver side doors) as a result of the collision. P1 sustained major injury to his left arm and left leg. This collision is still under investigation.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be a factor in this collision.
