Avery, CA…Every year the Avery Community Christmas tree is a welcoming beacon of holiday spirit to everyone who travels up Hwy 4. On Friday evening one of the largest crowds we have seen was on hand as they counted down to the official lighting. On Friday, November 24, 2017 at 5:30 pm the refreshments, caroling (cookies and coffee/hot chocolate) welcomed the crowd. They mixed and mingled until the Tree lighting ceremony at 6:00 pm. Santa Claus made an appearance and was available for pictures with the kids.
