Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Looking For Missing Murphys Man

San Andreas, CA…On June 2, 2015, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing person. Family members reported that Murphys resident Mark Dantche was last known to be in the Railroad Flat area in Calaveras County during the evening hours of May 30, 2015; he had not been seen or heard from since. It has been reported that Mark Dantche may have had intentions to fish in the area between Winton Road and Blue Mountain Road in West Point.

The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office has not located Mr. Dantche or his vehicle. Investigators have determined that his cell phone may have been last used on Saturday night near Beardsley Reservoir in Tuolumne County. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, United States Forest Service, and a helicopter from the California Highway Patrol have checked the area where the cell phone may have been used, however, no signs of Mr. Dantche have been located.
Mr. Dantche is a 45 year old white male with brown eyes and grey hair. He is about 5 foot 9 inches tall, and weighs about 190 pounds. Mr. Dantche was last known to be driving a 1996 blue Subaru Wagon with 4 doors and a yellow kayak on top. The license plate of the Subaru is 4YMF103.
