Parkland, Fl…Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel relieved Deputy Scot Peterson from duty and Deputy Peterson has retired after video of the shooting incident revealed that although he was armed and on scene when the shooting occurred he failed to engage the shooter but remained outside the building during the shooting. Unfortunately in this incident it appears there was armed law enforcement on scene and because of their failing to engage it failed to shorten the duration or the number of deaths in this school shooting.
