Valley Springs, CA…Why Pat Garrahan? My family has lived in Calaveras County for 26 years. Kate and I raised our kids here and we are invested in our community. We love Calaveras County. For about the last 40 years I’ve been involved in policing in one way or another. I’ve served as a police officer, a police supervisor, a police commander and administrator. I’ve trained new police officers in the academy, deployed twice to Afghanistan as a Police Subject Matter Expert for Marine Corps infantry battalions, and taught policing as a college professor. Currently, I am the Police Science instructor at Calaveras High School.

Our county is going through changes and dealing with issues we have not faced before. I look forward to using my leadership, experience, and expertise to help make our communities safe and secure for the people living, working, and visiting here.
