Angels Camp, CA…Within the last few minutes the police department was made aware of emailed threats by an unknown subject, claiming to be a student at Bret Harte High School. The threats include bringing a gun to school and shooting it. You will notice an increased police presence at the schools today, and we will provide an update as soon as possible.

I phoned Hazel Fischer administration to make sure that they knew about this. I was surprised that law enforcement or any other school official had not made these calls. Is this a breakdown in communication or is this not protocol?
