Valley Springs, CA…On 4-16-18 two more illegal marijuana grow houses were eradicated during the service of search warrants. Both of these locations were linked by Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team investigators to the same criminal organization as 12 other previously eradicated locations in the area.
At a large two story residence on Hillvale Lane in Burson, deputies found that the majority of the structure was converted for marijuana cultivation. This included both downstairs and upstairs of the main residence, an attached three car garage, as well as a guest house and another garage on the property. No subjects were found on scene during the service of the search warrant and 919 marijuana plants were eradicated.
At the second house located in the 2000 block of Huckleberry Lane in Valley Springs, deputies arrested one male suspect Yuanqiang Feng (age 42 of Sacramento) for illegal marijuana cultivation 11358(c)H&S and maintaining a drug house 11366H&S. Feng was booked into the Calaveras County Jail. Deputies found the entire house and garage had been converted for marijuana cultivation. In one room, many of the marijuana plants were covered in spider mites and webbing. The use of certain pesticides and other chemicals inside these two houses is also part of the investigation. A total of 228 marijuana plants were eradicated from this location.
