Angels Camp, CA…Party #1 was driving Vehicle #1 in the Eastbound traffic lane of State Route 4 at approximately 65MPH. Party #2 was driving Vehicle #2 in the Westbound traffic lane of State Route 4 at approximately 55MPH. P-1, due to his unsafe speed, allowed V-1 to travel left of the left of the solid double yellow center line while attempting to negotiate a natural curve in the roadway to his right. P-2 observed V-1 approaching him within P-2’s traffic lane and applied his brakes forcefully.

V-1 then struck V-2. After the collision, V-1 came to rest on its wheels facing in a Northerly direction blocking the Eastbound traffic lane. V-2 came to rest on its wheels facing in a Southerly direction partially blocking the Westbound traffic lane. All parties were transported to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Alcohol and/or Drugs are not a factor in this collision.
