Three Year Old Drowns in Neighbor’s Pool in San Andreas

San Andreas, CA…On May 16, 2018, a 3-year-old male wandered away from his residence on Pine Street in San Andreas. The Calaveras Sheriff Emergency Dispatch Center was notified at approximately 6:20 PM, at which time a full response from Sheriff’s patrol deputies, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue personnel, officers from the California Highway Patrol, fire and medic units, and citizen volunteers was initiated.

At approximately 6:37 PM on the same date the juvenile male was located unresponsive in a swimming pool at a neighbor’s residence on Market Street. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. Calaveras Sheriff Detectives responded to investigate the incident. There is no further information at this time.

    So very sad. Why were the child’s parents not paying attention to their little boy? How horrific.

    He was being watched by his grandma and uncle while the boys father was at work.
