Where it all began

With no business experience or background in retail, we decided to quit our real jobs and open a gift shop. A well meaning someone advised us to meet with a business advisor who in turn suggested we put together a business plan. After the meeting, we agreed that coming up with a plan would be boring and thought it would be more fun to just start texturing and painting our new space and buying cool stuff to put in it. How hard could it be? With the help of our husbands (one was just a boyfriend at the time) we were ready to open our doors. We still remember our first customer! A lot has changed since that Spring day so many years ago, but one thing has not changed, and that is our friendship. In your face people who said we could kiss our friendship goodbye! We have met so many wonderful people over the years that have supported our business that we now call friends. Together we have experienced marriages, births, deaths, remodels, leaky roofs, wine, menopause, reading glasses and everything that​ goes along with living life and will continue to do so as long as you keep liking our Fine-Things!
