Angels Camp, CA…The following is the initial social media post from Angels Food Market’s FB Page. We will pass along the official obituary as it becomes available…”With heavy hearts my Dad and Uncle and the rest of our family want to announce the passing last night of Glen Croshaw, beloved father, grandpa, great grandpa and friend. Grandpa Glen charged his life until the very end. He was working at Angels Food Market Wednesday doing what he loved so much; enjoying customers, his family and keeping up the grocery store.
He suffered a heart attack Thursday and made it through quintuple bypass surgery Friday with flying colors. He spent the day Saturday telling stories, enjoying his visitors and talking of future plans. His brain was sharp as a tack until the very end. Saturday night after we all thought he was on the road to recovery with at least a couple more years ahead, his 89 year old body rejected the surgery.
The family is devastated but we are moving forward celebrating his long life and remembering not only his contributions to Angels Camp and the community but his contributions to the United States Air Force. Some of our favorite memories are his love for golf, swimming in his pool, his late life adventures with his dear Pat Bradley, his perfectly manicured yard and koi pond that he took pride in maintaining, cruising in his Cadillac and dune buggy with the top down, his weekly hand drawn signs at Angels Food Market and most importantly his unending support and love for his two sons, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Nothing made him beam prouder than when he was in the presence of family. We will sure miss him. Announcements will be made for his celebration of life as details are confirmed.”
very sorry for this loss of this kind Man ,friend, father, grandfather!
