Douglas Flat, CA…This fire was dispatched at 4:15 PM 6/22/18. The first in engine reported about 1 ache with a slow rate of spread moving up hill. Aircraft were also dispatched to this fire, with one tanker making a drop on the fire and copter 404 putting their crew on the ground and making a few drops on the fire. One tanker was released without masking a drop. The other tanker was released after it made a drop. Copter 404 was released after making a few drops on the fire and picking up their crew. Total acreage was 1.4 acres.
The Bottom Photo is from Cal Fire TCU of the offending campfire. Other than starting the blaze and a poor choice of campfire days you have to have to admit it is a nice rustic looking campfire setting.
