Angels Camp, CA…From CalFire TCU…CAL FIRE assisted in the containment of this three-quarter acre fire and 4th of July memories will never be the same for the juvenile who caused it. CAL FIRE issued a citation to the juvenile for possession of dangerous fireworks and carelessly causing a fire.

While fireworks carrying the State Fire Marshall’s Safe and Sane label are legal in parts of Calaveras County, it is NEVER safe to use illegal fireworks that shoot anything into the air. It is also very dangerous to use ANY fireworks in or near dry grass and vegetation. Some lessons in life are hard learned, hopefully this juvenile will not repeat this mistake again.
