Submit Your Questions For Town Halls Regarding Code Compliance Revisions

San Andreas, CA…On May 22nd, 2018 the Calaveras County Code Compliance Department brought forward a proposed revision of Chapter 8.06 of the County Code. The Board directed the Building Director to seek out more public input on the proposed ordinance. The revision of 8.06 was put on the agenda of the Industry Work group and comments were received at a public meeting held on June 4th, 2018. Based on the comments received at the May 22nd Board Meeting and the June 4th Industry Work group meeting, several changes were made. Prior to the third public meeting on the proposed revisions, numerous members of the public sent email comments and questions to members of the Board, and nearly 3 hours of public comments were made at the hearing. Staff has reviewed the public comments and additional changes and clarifications have been made and are indicated in red with comments in the draft proposed 8.06.

Code Compliance will be presenting at upcoming Town Hall meetings throughout the County. We recognize there are many questions regarding the proposed changes. In an effort to streamline the process, we are requesting questions be submitted, in advance, to the Code Compliance Department. Please include reference to the specific code section you wish to address. At the meetings, we will answer all of the pre-submitted questions first and then allow the remaining time for additional questions and comments. If you would like to ensure your question gets answered, please submit it in advance.
