Pinecrest, CA…Chris Fogle, Souther California Interagency Incident Management Team 1 commander, announced today that at approximately 3:45 p.m. Aug. 25, a medium helicopter on a water dropping mission crashed at a helispot on the southwest Donnell fire perimeter within the containment zone. The pilot walked away with minor injuries and was treated on-site by paramedics. The crash site has been secured and the pilot’s family has been notified.
