Sonora CHP Officer Olga Boenisch Retires.

Sonora, CA….From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”We were honored to be a part of the send-off for this amazing woman. Officer Olga Boenisch has been with the California Highway Patrol for 17 years. Prior to joining the agency, she worked as a Sheriff’s Deputy in L.A. County for two years. Not only is she a great officer but she is one strong woman.

Olga has been battling breast cancer since 2015. She finished four rounds of chemo and cancer treatments and was cleared to return to patrol. Unfortunately within a month she received more bad news. The cancer had metastasized and was now in her bones and organs. Even though she struggles many days with pain and illness she continues to smile and stay positive. She is very thankful for the support of her family and friends which gives her the strength to continue to fight.

We are thankful for the time we have spent working closely with her and cherish the friendship we have built. Olga your strength and determination inspires us. Your LEO family will always be here for you.”
