Update: Angels Camp PD AVOID DUI Saturation Patrols

Angels Camp Ca..As reported earlier, on July 3rd and July 4th officers from the Angels Camp PD had additional staff on patrol to combat persons driving under the influence. The following arrests were made as a result of the extra enforcement efforts.

7 citations were issued for 12500 CVC / 14601.1(a) CVC / 14601.2(a) CVC, driving without a driver license, and driving on a suspended driver license.

2 arrests were made for DUI (driving under the influence)

1 citation was issued for an outstanding warrant

2 arrests were made on narcotics violations

1 arrest was made on a parole violation

2 citations were issued for narcotics possession

The Angels Camp Police Department will be conducting future DUI Checkpoints and DUI Saturation Patrols in the upcoming months in our ongoing commitment to lowering deaths and injuries upon our streets and highways.

The saturation patrol was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
