San Andreas, CA…Minor Injuries in Vehicle vs Juvenile Pedestrian Near Toyon Middle School. On September 24, 2018, at 3:07 PM, Melendez was standing on the edge of Double Springs Road, looking across the road, in a southwest direction. Barron was driving north on Double Springs Road, north of SR-12, at approximately 10 mph. Melendez walked into the roadway, and began to cross the road, directly in front of Barron’s Chevrolet. Barron applied her brakes, but could not stop in time, and the front of the Chevrolet struck Melendez.

Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected in this collision.
