Calaveras County Offices Closed Wednesday, December 5, in Recognition of the National Day of Mourning

San Andreas, CA…In light of President Donald Trump’s declared national day of mourning, recognizing the death of former President George H.W. Bush, Calaveras County offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. County Officials made the determination to close County offices based on County Ordinance, 2.64.665, which decrees that every day appointed by the President of the United States or Governor of the State for a public fast, thanksgiving or holiday is considered a holiday.

All County essential services will continue to operate. Those include staff in the Sheriff’s Department, snow removal and emergency road workers, and County landfills/transfer stations.
