Sonora, CA…From the Tuolumne Sheriff’s Dept…”Saturday morning the California Highway Patrol, Sonora Police Department, and Tuolumne County Probation joined us at Walmart in Sonora for the Shop with a Cop Event. This program is sponsored by the Deputy Sheriffs Association and couples law enforcement officers with some deserving children in our county. It gives these kids an opportunity to have fun and spend time with the officers and deputies while shopping for Christmas presents. Each child was paired with a law enforcement officer and given a budget for purchases.

We cannot express enough thanks to our community and businesses such as Reich’s Outpost who donate and support this program every year. We were touched by several shoppers who witnessed the event and donated to the children.
