DUI Arrest for Rail Road Flat Man After Railroad Flat Road Collision

Rail Road Flat, CA…On January 3, at approximately 1341 hours, the Stockton Communications Center received a call of a traffic collision involving a overturned pickup truck on Railroad Flat Road, near Swiss Ranch Road in the Mountain Ranch area. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Andreas Area Office responded to the scene and contacted Ryan Ireland. It was determined he was driving his Dodge at a high rate of speed, while using his cell phone. Due to his inattention and level of intoxication, he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway.

His Dodge left the roadway, collided with a power pole, and overturned. He was transported to Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment of major injuries. The Rail Road Flat man was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol and was released to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Railroad Flat Road was completely closed from 1/3/2019 at 1:35 pm until 1/4/2019 at 7:20 am to repair the power pole.
