Traffic Stop Ends in Arrest on Drug & Stolen Property Charges

Jamestown, CA…From Tuolumne Sheriff’s Office…”Drugs and stolen property found after a Jamestown traffic stop. One of our deputies stopped a truck at Donovan and Main Street driven by 23-year-old Majer Montoya because he failed to stop at a stop sign.

A records check showed Montoya had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested and a search of the truck turned up drug paraphernalia, a scale, nearly seven grams of methamphetamine, and an air compressor which had been reported stolen, only hours before.

Montoya was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for his warrant, transporting methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of stolen property and drug use paraphernalia.
