Valley Springs, CA…On 3-20-19 at about 0430 hrs., Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary on Double Springs Rd in Valley Springs at the Cal-Waste transfer station. During the investigation a description of the suspects and their vehicle were obtained and broadcasted to Law Enforcement units in the area.
On 3/20/19 at about 1920 hrs., officers from the California Highway Patrol and the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department contacted James Dale Ray (age 34) and Julia Lynne Hall (age 47) during a traffic stop in the Valley Springs area. Evidence located during the traffic stop resulted in a search warrant being obtained and served by CCSO Detectives at the home of the two subjects (Valley Springs). During the search of the home, Detectives found a large amount of stolen property from the earlier burglary. Both suspects were booked into the CCSO Jail. This investigation is ongoing at this time.
