Arnold, CA…On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, Lois Garman, loving wife and mother of 4 children, passed away peacefully at her home in Arnold, CA after a brave battle with brain cancer. She was 66 years old. Lois was born in Memphis Tennessee on June 7, 1953. She was the oldest of seven children. Her and her family eventually made their way to California where she lived for the rest of her days. Lois worked in the real estate business her entire life. She worked as an accomplished escrow officer for multiple companies. Lois’ last job was working for Placer Title in Arnold.
Lois loved the Lord, her family, and cooking. She loved feeding anyone that came into her home and one of her last wishes before she passed was to feed the homeless. Lois and Patrick caught the RV bug and were blessed to have visited many national monuments. One of her favorites was Monument Valley. She was known for her smile, her kindness, and her compassion. She was always concerned for everyone around her, even while fighting her own battles.
Lois was preceded in death by her mother Ilene, her sister Vicki and brothers Scott and Ernie. She is survived by her loving husband Patrick, children Heather, Mark, Daniel, and Samantha, sister Nancy, brother Karl, brother Allen, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at White Pines Park on Saturday, July 27th 2019 from 12 noon to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, Lois would love donations be made to Friends of Calaveras Animal Services (FOCAS) P.O. Box 22, Mokulumne, CA 95245.
