1st Annual InnovationFaire At The InnovationLab On August 22, 2015

Sonora, CA…The 1st annual InnovationFaire will be held at InnovationLab (IL) on August 22nd, 2015, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The InnovationLab is partnering with BEAT, a new non-profit based in Merced, California. BEAT will be hosting introductory seminars and workshops on topics ranging from Web Development, Arduino/Raspberry Pi fundamentals, Drone Piloting, Photoshop and Film Production. Boasting a diverse range of talent, InnovationFaire 2015’s theme is a simple one – the ease of access to new technologies.

With the ubiquity of technology in today’s world, InnovationFaire 2015 aims to bridge the gap between these emerging technologies and the learning curve(s) necessary to operate them. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to come out, learn and participate. Refreshments will be provided, and all attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop, as many of the seminars are interactive.

InnovationLab

The InnovationLab is a membership-based facility that’s a do-it-yourself fabrication and prototyping center, incubator, maker space, and a learning center.

It gives innovators, entrepreneurs and makers throughout the Central California region access to tools and resources like 3-D printers, gaming and application software and equipment, software design software and equipment, basic electronics center, video and audio production, prototyping metal work and wood equipment, and much more. Members can access shared tools, pool their expertise and meet people with similar and diverse interests.

The InnovationLab is located at 101 Hospital Road in Sonora, California on the 3rd floor of the former Tuolumne General Hospital. It is open seven days a week and twenty four hours a day to its members.

 

 

BEAT

 

BEAT (biology, engineering, agriculture and technology) is a non-profit organization that aims to increase BEAT literacy in the Central Valley.
