Angels Camp, CA..On August 28, 2019 Randy McNurlin passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 59. He was born on August 8, 1960 to Carroll and Sharil McNurlin. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, baseball and most of all his family. He was self employed for 20 years and later went on to work for Tuolumne County Humane Society. He managed the Humane Society up till his lupus forced him into retirement. He continued to stay active and went on to volunteer his time and knowledge to develop the Calaveras Humane Society’s new facility and structure. Outside of work Randy enjoyed coaching his children in sports on and off the field. This lead him to coach the Special Olympics for several years.
He is survived by his wife Virginia “Gigi” McNurlin of 37 years. In addition his children, daughter and son in law Adriana and Mike Warner and their two daughters Chloe and Mikayla Warner; his son and daughter in law Scott and Janaiah McNurlin and three children Phebee, Zoey, and Tyler McNurlin; and his youngest son Corey McNurlin. He also leaves behind his sister and her husband, Lori and Gary Lujan, and his nieces and nephews; Gerri Fippin, Lindsey and Nick Lujan.
We share in this time of grief but also share in the love and memories of Randy. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may the looking back in memory help to comfort us for tomorrow.
In-lieu of flowers please consider sending you condolences in way of a donation to the Lupus Foundation or Calaveras Human Society in his honor.
A TRULY good man. Always ready to help….always ready to give. Gigi…..sending love and prayers to you and your family. He was a contributor in the Pet Bath House prosecution, and his organizational skills and knowledge of the law, regarding animals, was a huge boon to the Justice for Cici movement. Randy will be missed by humans AND animals alike. So very very sorry.
