West Point Ca. CalFire has dispatched a Full Wildland Dispatch out of Calaveras County and requested a Full Wildland Dispatch our of their Amador County Units to the Winton Road Road East of West Point into the Northern Blue Creek Drainage area for a reported Vegetation Fire. This area is mostly SPI Land covered by CalFire and USFS if requested. Not many details about exact location are known at this time but we will try to bring you updates as they become available.
Update: 11:05am All aircraft being released. This will be all ground units now. Fire in HEAVY mop up. Commit time upwards of 4 hours.
Update: 10:53am Progress sounding good. Hose lay going in. Releasing T83 T82 Copter 404 going for fuel then returning
Update: 10:22am Per AA440 1ac, Retardant around it, Copter 404 working it and ground resources working to establish hose lay. 500 – 600 ft off the access road. possible commit time 3 hours.
Update: 10:16am Resources are making their way into this incident the issue is proper access with so many roads winding through the area.
Update: 9:55am Per the IC 1 ac in the thick under story. Conditions are mind. Clear cut is on one side of the fire but need to get resources as soon as possible. Units are staging at the Spur 4 Bridge. AA440 on scene with T82.
Update: 9:54 AA440 and T82 are enroute to this incident. Copter 404 is on scene.
Update: T83 is on scene and taking action across the head of the fire.
