New Report From Supervisor Mills Says “Calaveras County Has $200 Million on Hand: Doesn’t Need Money from Pot Industry”

Angels Camp, CA…For years pot growers have presented a false narrative that Calaveras County has big financial problems and needs income from Pot production to survive. Not True!! A new report prepared by the Supervisor Dennis Mills finds that the county is sound financially with a consolidated portfolio exceeding $200 million on hand. It also points out there is zero financial benefit but rather big costs to taxpayers if pot production and growing resumes here again.

“Our county is sound financially and it is not in a negative financial position in any way and there is no need for immediate cash. The marijuana growers, are screaming like ‘Chicken Little’ as though our financial sky is falling declaring that the county has a structural deficit and is in a serious financial mess. This allegation is totally untrue. They are using an accounting term to mislead the public. Check out study online at supervisordennismills.com.
